Appello contro la brevettazione di organismi viventi e la privatizzazione delle risorse genetiche

L'appello spiega le conseguenze della brevettazione dei geni in vari campi: ricerca scientifica, medicina, agricoltura, ralazioni Nord/Sud. 
Vi sto chiedendo di firmare e portarlo all'attenzione di altri. I brevetti forniscono alle multinazionali del gene un mezzo essenziale per prendere controllo del mercato mondiale di semi e per costringerci a mangiare OGM (Organismi Geneticamente Modificati). Come dice l'appello, il loro scopo non e' altro che privare l'umanita' delle sue risorse di base una volta per tutte, ostacolando l'accesso alle ricchezze fornite dalla natura e sviluppate nel coso dei millenni, solo per vendere i loro prodotti. La guerriglia contro gli OGM sta guadagnando terreno: alcuni importanti negozi e produttori hanno iniziato a non usare alimenti transgenici. L'area dedicata a piatagioni transgeniche e' diminuita considerevolmente, anche quella negli USA. Wall Street comincia ad avere dubbi. Ma questi successi iniziali non devono pertarci a ridurre i nostri sforzi. Una coalizione delle maggiori aziende statunitensi ed europee recentemente ha istituito un "Consiglio per l'informazione sulle biotec! 
nologie" 
(letto come Consiglio per la propaganda della tecnologia) con un budget di 50milioni di $ per pubblicizzare... Essi hanno il denaro, noi i numeri. La nostra forza sta nella determinatezza di tutti quelli che dicono un chiaro NO ad un nuovo mondo transgenico. Vi prego, diffondete questo messaggio il piu' possibile. Grazie.

The appeal explains the consequences of gene patenting in various domains : scientific research, medecine, agriculture, North/South relations. 
I am asking you to sign it and to bring it to the attention of others. For the "life science" transnational poisoners, patenting provides an essential tool for getting control of the world seed market and forcing GMOs (genetically modified organisms) on us all. As the appeal says, their aim is no less than to cut mankind off from all its basic resources once and for all, obstructing its access to the wealth provided by nature and developed throughout history, in order to sell a technical ersatz. The guerilla against GMOs is gaining ground : some major distributors and manufacturers have now begun banning transgenic food. The amount of farm land planted with GMOs has been considerably reduced, including that in the United States.Wall Street is beginning to have doubts. But these initial successes must not lead us to slacken our efforts. Cet appel explique les conséquences de la brevetabilité des gènes dans différents domaines : recherche scientifique, médecine, agriculture, rapports Nord/Sud. 
Je m'adresse à vous pour vous demander de le signer et le faire connaître. Pour les empoisonneurs transnationaux des "sciences de la vie", le brevet est un moyen essentiel pour contrôler le marché mondial des semences et imposer les OGM (organismes génétiquement modifiés). Leur projet, comme le dit l'appel, ne vise à rien de moins qu'à couper définitivement l'humanité de toutes ses "bases arrières", à lui barrer l'accès aux richesses naturelles élaborées tout au long de l'Histoire pour pouvoir lui en vendre l'ersatz technique. La guérilla contre les OGM marque des points : une partie de la grande distribution et des industriels proscrit désormais les aliments transgéniques. Les surfaces cultivées en OGM sont en net recul, y compris aux États-Unis. Wall Street se met à douter. Ces premiers succès ne doivent pas nous faire relâcher notre effort. Goliath vacille mais n'a pas mordu la poussière : une coalition des plus importantes entreprises américaines et européennes vient !

Ils ont l'argent, nous avons le nombre. Notre force est la détermination de tous ceux qui refusent le meilleur des mondes transgénique. Merci de faire suivre très largement ce message.
