Sottosime involontarie?

carissimi,

Titolo Business bias as usual: the case of electromagnetic pollution

In the first part of the paper the problem of strategic misunderstanding operated by business - when evidence mounts that specific products substances or life and work conditions tend to cause specific adverse health effects - could be addressed.
In the second part the specific risks associated to the electromagnetic pollution should be illustrated. Despite its focus on expositions due to the use of cell. and cordless phones, the paper might also clarify specific aspects of electromagnetic pollution induced by the diffusion of wifi.
Reference to the monetary losses associated to the (real or potential) health losses associated to electromagnetic Pollution - if they are monitored or estimated - would be of interest.
In line with your recent work, the paper could propose a discussion of the recent interphone study which seems affected by a business bias (largely understandable if one keeps in mind the role of private business operators among the funding agencies) and an explanation of the manipulatory tactics employed in this apparently strategically misdesigned inquiry.

A policy proposal concerning how to promote a socially serviceable epidemiological research that helps reducing the cost-shifting possibilities of firms due to the manufacture of doubt over risks. i may note that a discussion of the kind of science and research we need to address social costs was central in the work of kapp (1950, 1963).

a presto
Pietro
