Common Activist Errors and some proposals to rectify them

The editors of Palestine Think Tank are proposing a series of analysis papers that consider the topic of Solidarity and Activism. Firmly convinced that this is a crucial moment in the history of Palestine, the efforts of activists now, more than ever before, have to be effective, and at the service of the Palestinian cause. Sometimes we assume everyone knows what the cause is, and that everyone is doing their best to serve it. However, many times we encounter confusion as to what the basic issues and needs are. This leads to confusion among activists themselves, and the repetition of what we consider "errors" that should be avoided.

With this in mind, we present the introductory piece which presents the series as it now stands, and outlines the points that will be analysed in detail in the coming weeks. We hope it will stimulate constructive discussion and critique and will serve the purpose it was made for: to help all of us work in the best possible way towards the liberation of Palestine.
