Re: [pace] FW: RE: At the Presidents of Israel and Lebanon

Penso che lo Stato di Israele, come sempre, sentendosi aggredito ed essendo 
nella convinzione di essere nel giusto, senza un forte sostegno ma anche 
pressione della comunità internazionale non riuscirà mai a capire i propri 
sbagli e a fare la pace con i palestinesi. Bisogna riuscire a fargli capire 
che noi pacifisti non siamo anti-israeliani e che vogliamo una pace vera per 
entrambi i popoli, ma anche che, continuando con la politica della guerra e 
dell'oppressione, non vinceranno mai la guerra al terrorismo, perchè da ogni 
cratere di bomba sbucheranno sempre nuovi terroristi. Se Israele vuole la 
pace deve scegliere il dialogo e il negoziato ed essere disponibile anche a 
ritirarsi dagli stramaledetti territori occupati, se questo può significare 
la fine delle ostilità.
Speriamo che l'invio delle forze ONU e il coinvolgimento dell'Europa 
rappresenti finalmente una svolta nella storia di questa martoriata regione, 
grande poco più della Puglia!!!  Non sono affatto d'accordo con alcuni, anche 
all'interno del movimento pacifista, che affermano che l'Italia non deve 
mandare truppe in Libano, penso che invece il coinvolgimento dell'Italia sia 
importante sia perchè sembra che sarà accettato da tutte le parti in causa, 
Hezbollah compresi, sia perchè siamo (ancora) considerati un interlocutore 
affidabile da molti paesi arabi sia per fermare le offensive di Israele, che 
non potrà riprendere i bombardamenti in presenza di truppe internazionali. 
Naturalmente non dovremo andare a fare i gendarmi per conto di israele e 
degli USA, ma dovrà essere davvero una missione di peace-keeping che ponga  
le premesse di una pace vera per tutti!
