Appeal to the kidnappers for the liberation of the
4 volunteers of the Christian Peacemaker Team. 
 
The Net of the Artists Against Wars appreciates and estimates the job of the volunteers of the Christian Peacemaker Team. They daily operate in the zones of the conflicts, and in particular in Palestine and Iraq, putting themselves in game and risking the life in order to help the civil victims of the wars and of the social and humanitarian emergencies. 
 
For years we follow with attention the actions of the four volunteers of the Christian Peace Team in Iraq, and therefore we can affirm, that they are persons who only work for the Iraqi population and against the imperialist interests. 
 
The moral and political engagement of the Christian Peacemaker Team is transparent: in fact they have been the first to have given news to the world of the horrors perpetrated against the Iraqi prisoners in the jail of Abu Ghraib. 
 
The seizure of four CPT volunteers and their detainment are not useful to the fight of the Iraqi people for its independence. 
 
We ask the kidnappers to free the hostages, because they are real friends of the Iraqi people. 
 
The Net of Artists will participate to all the public initiatives of solidarity, that will be kept in Italy for the four volunteers of the Christian Peacemaker Team and for the Iraqi people.

Appello ai Sequestratori per la liberazione dei
4 volontari del Christian Peacemaker Team
 
La rete degli Artisti contro le guerre apprezza e stima il lavoro dei volontari Christian  Peacemaker Team. Essi operano nelle zone dei conflitti, ed in particolare in Palestina ed in Iraq, mettendo in gioco sé stessi e rischiando quotidianamente la vita per aiutare i civili vittime delle guerre e delle emergenze sociali e umanitarie.
 
Da anni seguiamo con attenzione l'operato dei quattro volontari del Christian Peace Teams in Iraq, e da questo possiamo affermare, che si tratta di persone che lavorano solo per il bene della popolazione irachena e contro gli interessi imperialisti globali.
 
L' impegno morale e politico di Christian Peacemaker Teams è limpido: essi infatti sono stati i primi ad aver dato notizia al mondo degli orrori perpetrati contro i detenuti iracheni nel carcere di Abu Ghraib.
 
Il sequestro dei quattro volontari CPT e la loro detenzione, non è utile alla lotta del popolo iracheno per la propria indipendenza.
 
Ci rivolgiamo ai sequestratori affinché liberino subito gli ostaggi, essi sono quattro uomini veramente amici del popolo iracheno.
 
La Rete Artisti parteciperà a tutte le iniziative di piazza, che si terranno in Italia a titolo di solidarietà nei confronti dei quattro volontari del Christian Peacemaker Teams e nei confronti del popolo iracheno.
