ECCO SPIEGATO UN ALTRO 11 SETTEMBRE PER I NON ESPERTI
Anwaar Hussain, Comedonchisciotte.org
Nessuna idea quale sarà l’arma scelta ? Nessuna ?...

BIBLIOTECHE U.S.A. CONTRO LA GUERRA
«AMERICA GO HOME, BASTA OCCUPARE L'IRAQ»
Bibl'aria

Blatant misinformation on the Iraqi Resistance
Imad Khadduri , Free Iraq
..."I don't think that Abu Musab al-Zarqawi exists as such. He's simply an
invention by the occupiers to divide the people."Al-Kalesi claimed that
al-Zarqawi was killed in the Kurdish northern region of Iraq at the
beginning of the US-led war on the country as he was meeting with members
of the Ansar Al-Islam group affiliated to al-Qaida."His family in Jordan
even held a ceremony after his death. Abu Musab al-Zarqawi is therefore a
ploy used! by the Americans, an excuse to continue the occupation. It's a
pretext so they don't leave Iraq."...

Phoenix and the Salvador Option - Non-transparent CIA 'precedents' in
Iraq's torrent of bloodshed
Imad Khadduri , Free Iraq
...Thememoryhole.org describes the Phoenix Program in Vietnam as follows:
"Created by the CIA in Saigon in 1967, Phoenix was a program aimed at
'neutralizing' - through assassination, kidnapping, and systematic torture
- the civilian infrastructure that supported the Viet Cong insurgency in
South Vietnam. It was a terrifying 'final solution' that violated the
Geneva Conventions and tradition! al American ideas of human morality."
"The following article examines evidence that the 'Salvador Option' for
Iraq has been ongoing for some time and attempts to say what such an option
will mean. It pays particular attention to the role of the Special Police
Commandos, considering both the background of their US liaisons and their
deployment in Iraq....

Iraqi Resistance Report for events of Friday, 16 September 2005
Translated and/or compiled by Muhammad Abu Nasr, member, editorial board,
the Free Arab Voice. ( http://www.freearabvoice.org )
...Iraqi Resistance forces seven mortar rounds into the US base known as
“the Farm” in the agricultural area east of al-Fallujah at 7:30am Friday
morning. The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported eyewitnesses as
saying that the shells blasted into the base and sent tongues of flame and
plumes of smoke into the sky. The! sounds of explosions reverberated in the
area as the mortar rounds struck home and warning sirens wailed in the
early morning air...

GI Special 3C54: When Soldiers Stopped A War - September 16, 2005
www.militaryproject.org
One vet even recalls an episode from 1972 in which Military Police joined
enlisted men in burning an effigy of their commanding officer. The images
that accompany such stories are just as powerful. As a young doctor is
escorted into a military court for refusing to train GIs, hundreds of
enlisted men lean out of nearby windows extending peace signs in support.
It's an image that the Army didn't want the American people to se! e then,
and probably wouldn't want the American people to see today. It became
obvious to me very quickly that this was the most solid, most direct way to
go after the war. It was a situation where people were opposing the war
that no one thought would oppose the war. Not just because they were GIs...

Australian Complicity in Iraq Mass Mortality
Ockham's Razor
...Indeed US authorities have repeatedly stated that they do not keep
records of civilian casualties. However, as with the children overboard,
the weapons of mass destruction and the torture of Iraqi prisoners, the
truth eventually emerges. The latest UNICEF report in 2005 estimates that
for the year 2003 the under-5 infant mortality was 110,000 in occupied
Iraq, 292,000 in occupied Afghanistan and 1,000 in the invading and
occupying country Australia (n! oting that these countries have populations
of about 25-million, 24-million and 20-million respectively). Using
publicly available United Nations and medical literature data one can
readily calculate that there have been about 0.4 million avoidable deaths
in post-invasion Iraq. In 1991 the UK recommenced military action against
Iraq that had kicked off in 1914. In 2003 the US, UK and Australia
illegally invaded and conquered Iraq. I have calculated that the under-5
infant mortality was 1.2 million for Iraq since 1991; 0.2 million for Iraq
since the 2003 invasion; and 0.9 million for Afghanistan since the 2001
invasion...

Belarus leader defends Saddam, mourns loss of USSR
Malayala Manorama
The President of Belarus on Thursday mourned the dissolution of the Soviet
Union, defended former Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein and said the United
States was causing chaos in the world. President Alexander Lukashenko,
described by the Bush administration as the last dictator in Europe, also
told world leaders at a U.N. summit that Iran and North Korea were only
"looked at through gun sights"...

Eyewitness, politically charged, on-the-ground truth telling from New Orleans
Naomi Archer
...DON'T FORGET... We are in desperate need of doctors, nurses, PAs, medics
and support personnel in addition to basic volunteers. The more people who
come to Algiers and get involved with Common Ground, the more communities
can be supported by mutual aid. If you think the crisis is over, you would
be mistaken. Medics are still saving lives and food and personal items are
still in demand...

Bush, Iraq, and Pope John Paul II
Luciana Bohne, Online Journal Contributing Writer
Cardinal Pio Laghi, Pope John Paul II's special envoy to George W. Bush in
March 2003, has told Italian RadioRai in a recent interview that the US
president did not read the pope's letter urging him not to pursue the war
against Iraq. Cardinal Laghi said that when he handed Bush Pope John Paul's
letter, Bush didn't read it and set it aside, saying he had already
pinpointed a solution. Laghi then explained that the president gave h! im
an audience of 40 minutes, speaking uninterruptedly until Laghi broke in to
say he'd come to Washington to present him with the pope's thoughts, not
just to listen to him...

US Forces Use Film-copied Abuse Tactics Against Iraqis
IslamOnline.net
US occupation forces in Iraq have used interrogation techniques copycatted
from films in abusing detainees, new documents have revealed. "When troops
rely on movies to learn interrogation techniques rather than proper
training, our government has failed and the blame is on Washington, not
Hollywood," said Anthony D. Romero, the executive director of the American
Civil Liberties Union (ACLU). The rights watchdog released Thursday,
September 16,! 1,800 pages documenting the investigation into at least
three military units' detainee operations, showing that systematic failures
led to the detainees abuses in Iraq, according to the ACLU's Web site...

The Feds Confront the Anti-War Movement
The St. Patrick Four
JAMES PETRAS
On September 19 the first federal conspiracy trial of civilian war
resisters to the US invasion of Iraq will take place in Binghamton, New
York, a declining and decaying city in upstate New York, 3 hours northwest
of New York City. This is the second trial of the "St Patrick Four" - they
were acquitted a year earlier by a jury in Ithaca, New York by a 9 to 3
vote in which the presiding Judge David Peeble conceded that the four had!
represented themselves "probably better than some of the attorneys that
practice in this court." The trial of the St. Pat Four has national
significance because it raises several fundamental issues regarding
constitutional freedoms and the Bush-Gonzalez ongoing campaign to silence
and intimidate dissent and public expressions of opposition to the Iraq and
Afghanistan wars...

Weldon: Government Had 2.5 Terabytes of Data on Atta
Kurt Nimmo, Another Day in the Empire
As predicted, the Bush nine eleven whitewash commission has attempted to
squash Rep. Curt Weldon’s accusation that a classified military
intelligence unit known as “Able Danger” discovered the al-Qaeda patsy
Mohamed Atta, the so-called “mastermind” of the nine eleven attacks. “A
Pentagon employee was ordered to destroy documents that identified Mohamed
Atta as a terrorist two years before the 2001 attacks,” reports the Asso!
ciated Press. “The employee is prepared to testify next week before the
Senate Judiciary Committee and was expected to name the person who ordered
him to destroy the large volume of documents, said Rep. Curt Weldon.”...

Iraq War Critic Deported to US
Bob Burton
The Australian government deported, Thursday, Scott Parkin, a soft-spoken
peace and environmental activist, of the Texas-based Houston Global
Awareness Collective, for participation in non-violence and civil
disobedience workshops in this country. In a debate in the Australian
Senate, Greens Senator Bob Brown, described the adverse security assessment
by the Australian Security Intelligence Organisation (ASIO) and the
subsequent decision to deport Parkin, while refusing t! o provide any
reasons either to him or his lawyers, as ''outrageous''. ''What has the
government to hide here? It is the government that is hiding and being
covert and being dangerous. Not Mr Parkin, it is the Howard government that
is the dangerous entity here,'' he said...

Emperor Bush
Professor Pan
The single most important (and overlooked) paragraph from Bush's
post-Katrina speech last night: It is now clear that a challenge on this
scale requires greater federal authority and a broader role for the armed
forces, the institution of our government most capable of massive
logistical operations on a moment's notice. All hail the Emperor.

People with blood-soaked hands.
Mahathir Mohamad
...And it is only right that as a civilised society and nation we should
all be concerned with human rights in our country and in fact in the world.
But human rights should be upheld because they can contribute to a better
quality of life. To kill 100,000 people because you suspect that the human
rights of a few have been denied seem to be a contradiction. Yet the
fanaticism of the champions of human rights have led to more people being
deprived of their rights and! many their lives than the number saved (...)
There is no tally of Iraqi deaths but every single death of a US soldier is
reported to the world. These are soldiers who must expect to be killed. But
the Iraqis who die because of US action or the civil war in Iraq that the
US has precipitated are innocent civilians who under the dictatorship of
Saddam Hussein would be alive...

The Priorities of Power
Chris Floyd, Empire Burlesque
This is unbelievable -- except that it's not. The day after Hurricane
Katrina ravaged the Gulf Coast, killing hundreds of people and stranding
thousands of the sick and weak in hospitals without power, Vice President
Dick Cheney made a forceful personal intervention in the crisis: he ordered
a Mississippi energy utility to divert its emergency crews from restoring
power to rural hospitals and local water supplies -- and instead set them
to work on a pipeline t! hat sends fuel to the Northeast. People were dying
in hospitals; people were languishing in damp, tropical heat, drinking
dirty water tainted with death and disease. But just as in his Vietnam
War-dodging days, Cheney had "other priorities"...

GI Special 3C53: Heading Toward A Cliff - September 15, 2005
www.militaryproject.org
...I think there's just this inherent racism, this inherent disregard for
the Iraqi people. We've lost about 2,000 Americans and an estimated 100,000
Iraqis, most of them civilians. You don't see them on CNN or Fox News or
network news. You might see the aftermath of a bomb, but you don't hear
their stories. You don't hear from them what it's like to live in fear and
uncertainty every day. So it's easy to just say, "Oh, 30 Iraqi! s died
today; what else is on TV?" They're dehumanized. And I think the soldiers
are dehumanized too. People get more upset whenever an American soldier
dies, but they don't really get that upset. A lot of people really don't...
