An international conference titled "Economic Development and
Sustainability : The Environmental and Cultural Tourism as new
occupation opportunity "
will be held in Anacapri, Italy on November 2-5, 2000. The event is
organised by the University of Sannio, in cooperation with the
Government of Italy, with speakers from the European Commission, the
European Parliament and various Italian government and non-government
gagencies A special feature of the event will be the links between
sustainable tourism and economic stability, focusing on the subject
matter of employment,

Rising industrialization in Asia is discharging millions
of tons of previously undetected contaminants annually into
the winds that travel across the Pacific Ocean, researchers
say. The aerosols are killing crops and spreading illness
in Asia. They're probably polluting waters in America. And
they could dramatically alter global climate.

potent greenhouse gas measured to date.
