The UNAC conference comes at a time when the US has become exceedingly aggressive in pursuing its regime change agenda in one country after another. Recent renewed resistance in Iraq shows the absurdity of the US regime change wars around the world. The US assassination of Iranian military leader Qassim Soleimani during a US drone strike at Baghdad's airport threatens increased war throughout the region. The military budget continues to rise, and the administration and congress have agreed to start a new program that will militarize space. Many of us who have traveled to other countries that are being attacked by the US militarily or through economic sanctions, coup attempts and propaganda wars understand that people all over the world look to the US peace movement for solidarity in their struggle to be able to determine their own future. To live up to these expectations, we need to build a strong, unified antiwar movement. So, we urge you to join us at the UNAC conference on the weekend of February 21 – 23.

UNAC has joined with many other organizations to organize a coalition against US sponsored Sanctions. Sanctions are a form of economic warfare that the U.S. is using against 39 countries and it has caused tens of thousands of deaths
