Zimbabwe to ban rights groups

   Zimbabwe's government plans to introduce a new law that would ban
   international human rights groups from working there. The proposed
   bill would also shut down aid groups and local charities by
   preventing them from receiving foreign funds. The law is expected to
   be passed by parliament when it reconvenes in early October.
   Parliamentary elections in Zimbabwe are scheduled for March next
   year.
