WE WILL PREVENT NEW HOSTILE CONFLICTS!
The regime of Slobodan Milosevic, with its accomplices in the federal
government and the puppet party in Montenegro (Popular Socialist
Party) the so-called "patriotic alliances" and the permanent and
dangerous instigation within the VJ (Yugoslav army), is provoking a
conflict in Montenegro, with the goal of putting into effect a state of
emergency and a police dictatorship.
The regime persecutes those that think differently, those among the
independent media and opposition parties, fearing that they will end
their days before the Hague tribunal. At the same time, it misleads
citizens with demented stories about the return of Serbian military and
police forces to Kosovo, provoking a new military intervention, whose
consequences could be more than catastrophic. The objective is to
destroy the networks of civic organization, and to convert citizens into
informants, accomplices, and victims at the same time.
WE PROTEST AGAINST THE PERMANENT POLITICAL WAR!
- WE WILL NOT ALLOW OUR CHILDREN TO DIE AGAIN for sinister objectives!
- WE WILL NOT ALLOW them to go to war, for anyone to go to war!
- WE CONDEMN the foundations of all paramilitary formations,
independently of whether they are of the regime or the opposition!
- WE DEMAND the cessation of the dangerous usage of the Yugoslav army
and security services that destabilize Montenegro!
- WE SUPPORT all the democratic forces whose objective is democratic
change through peaceful methods.
Our non-violent protest will be held 12.1.2000 from 15.30h to 16.30h in
Republic Square.
