appeal for assistance to the world, requesting intervention to put a stop
to American aggression and help in with its tragic situation. The people of
al-Fallujah, in their statement urged people of conscience in the world to
help them overcome the hum! anitarian crisis that they face as a result of
the brutal American offensive on their city. The appeal came after American
invader forces had cut off electricity, water, medical support, and access
to other necessities from the city’s residents in an attempt to subjugate
the city to their imperial control...

Iraqi insurgents control Mosul

Insurgents roamed the streets of Mosul on Friday, but the US military
insisted that the restive northern city was under control one day after it
unleashed air and ground strikes on the insurgents. Iraqi police and
national guards seemed to have disappeared from view and masked gunmen were
wandering freely around Iraq's third largest city, which is the scene of
frequent violence, an AFP reporter in Mosul said.

Shiite Silence over Fallujah Assault Criticized

As the US military offensive on Fallujah entered its fourth day Friday,
November 12, Shiite leaders came under heavy fire for a “dubious” silence
over the aggression on the Sunni city. “The silence of Shiite leaders over
the US military campaign on the Sunni city of Fallujah is dubious and
weird,” Sheikh Mahdi El-Bedeiri, a Shiite scholar, told IslamOnline.net.
El-Bedeiri suspected that Shiite scholars stopped short of condemning the!

Fierce fighting in Falluja

A fierce battle erupted between US forces and fighters near a mosque in

Spectacular ruined city in Iraq damaged

The archeological site of Hatra near Mosul is suffering more damage than
time can inflict by daily explosions at a nearby ammunition dump. An
American military officer attached to the U.S. embassy in Baghdad reported

US tanks attacked in Fallujah

US Forces launched an air and artillery barrage on the southern half of the
Iraqi city, trying to herd Sunni insurgents into a shrinking cordon. Diyar
Omary is a journalist with the Dubai based al-Arabiya network. Unlike
Western correspondents he's not travelling with the US Army. He says he's
seen three American tanks and one helicopter stopped by insurgents, one
section of the city has been flattened and many of the insurgents have told
him they want to die fighting as! martyrs...

One of Those Weeks...
Baghdad Burning. Girl Blog from Iraq...
These last few days have been explosive- literally. The sounds seem to be
coming from everywhere. I've gotten tired of running upstairs and out on to
the roof to find out where it's coming from. It feels like the first days
of the war sometimes- planes, explosions, bullets, smoke... roads cut off.
We haven't attempted to leave the house but an uncle who was supposed to
visit called to say he wouldn't be able to come because so many roads were
blocked..! .

Attack on Fallujah can't be justified

justification for being in Iraq by force. U.S. military moves were contrary
to the U.N. Charter and the laws that came from the Nuremberg Tribunal

a violation of international law. Does anyone believe that hand-picked

Iraqi Gov't Warns Media About Coverage

The Iraqi government warned news organizations Thursday to distinguish
between insurgents and ordinary civilians in coverage of the fighting in
Fallujah and to promote the leadership's position or face unspecified
action. The warning came in a statement sent to news organizations by

Fallujah Wounded Arriving by the Dozens at U.S. Military Hospital in Germany

A steady stream of wounded from Iraq, mostly from fighting in Fallujah, has
begun arriving at the U.S. military's main hospital in Europe, an official
said Thursday. Two planeloads with around 90 wounded who could not be
treated in Iraq were expected later Thursday at the Landstuhl Regional
Medical Center, said spokeswoman Marie Shaw. "We are very busy," Shaw said.
"We have seen an increase of patient arrival since ! the outbreak of the
Fallujah conflict"...
