Vi giro questo comunicato che riguarda un amico che si è occupato per anni di proteggere attivisti perseguitati in tutto il mondo arabo. da Dublino seguiva come avvocato moltissime cause. Quando il Barhein è esploso Addulhadi è corso nel suo paese per unirsi alle proteste contro il regime del Barehin ed il suo sponsor saudita. È finito in carcere e da un anno è lì a marcire, insieme a molti altri.
Vi invito a seguire l’appello e le azioni che suggerisce la sua organizzazione.

April 5, 2012 is Abdulhadi Al-Khawaja's 51st Birthday.
It is also his 57th Day on hunger strike in Bahrain.
Our friend and former colleague's health is declining as he persists on his hunger strike for freedom.
Support from around the world is making pressure on the Bahraini authorities to release him, after he has been beaten, tortured and imprisoned with a life sentence following a patently unfair trial - all of which was confirmed by the report of the Bahrain Independent Commission of Inquiry.

Front Line Defenders Executive Director Mary Lawlor and Deputy Director Andrew Anderson just returned to Dublin from Bahrain where they attended a procedural hearing at the Court of Cassation in Abdulhadi's case and were able to speak to him by phone from his prison cell.
In their press statement, they called upon the Bahrani authorites to allow Abdulhadi to leave to Denmark to receive medical treatment. The Danish government has repeatedly requested Abdulhadi's release, as he is a dual Bahraini-Danish citizen.
In a letter Abdulhadi sent to his family last week, he wrote: "I am in here and you are out there. But, you are in here with me, and I am out there with you. Our pain is made more bearable when we remember we chose this difficult path and took an oath to remain on it. we must not only remain patient through our suffering, we must never allow the pain to conquer our souls."
On April 8th, it will be one year since he was arrested from his daughter's home.

هو ايضا اليوم الخامس و السبعين في اضرابه عن الطعام في البحرين
صحة صديقنا و زميلنا السابق تتدهور خلال تصميمه على الاستمرار في الاضراب عن الطعام من اجل الحرية.
دعم من ارجاء العالم يضغط على السلطات البحرينية من أجل اطلاق سراحه، بعد ان تم ضربه، و تعذيبه، و حكمه بالسجن لمدى الحياة عقب محاكمة غير عادلة- و هذه المعلومات مؤكدة في تقرير اللجنة البحرينية المستقلة لتقصي الحقائق.
الرجاء التوقف للحظة و زيارة موقع www.bahrainhrd.org/act_now لاتخاذ اجراءات لدعم عبدالهادي و مواصلة زيارة الموقع للحصول على اّخر المعلومات.
المديرة التنفيذية لفرونت لاين دفندرز ماري لولر و نائب المدير أندرو اندرسون قد عادا لتوهما ممن البحرين الى دبلن حيث حضرا جلسة إجرائية في محكمة النقض متعلقة بقضية عبد الهادي و كانوا قادرين على التحدث معه عبر الهاتف من زنزانته في السجن.
في بيانهما الصحفي قاموا بدعوة السلطات البحرينية بالسماح لعبد الهادي بالمغادرة الى الدنمارك لتلقي العلاج الطبي. و قد طلبت الحكومة الدنماركية الافراج عن عبد الهادي مرارا حيث انه يحمل الجنسيتين البحرينية و الدنماركية.
في رسالة وجهها عبد الهادي الى عائلته الاسبوع الماضي ، كتب: " أنا هنا و انتم هناك. لكنكم هنا معي، و أنا عناك معكم. الامنا تصبح اكثر احتمالا عندما نتذكر بأننا اخترنا الطريق الصعب و أقسمنا على ان نبقى عليه. يجب علينا الا نبقى صابرين في معاناتنا و حسب، بل و الا نسمح للالم بقهر نفوسنا."
في 8 ابريل سيكون قد حل عاما على اعتقاله من منزل ابنته.
