More than three years have passed since the illegal Israeli night-time abduction from their homes of 21 Parliament Members of the elected Palestinian Government as well as 8 Cabinet members, 2 mayors and numerous activists of civil society. Along with many other political prisoners, leaders of Palestinian political parties and thousand upon thousand of innocent civilians, there are no charges against them, they are arbitrarily being denied justice and freedom by an occupying force. International laws condemn their arrest, but nothing has changed for them, and they languish in prison.
The world is simply silent while Israel keeps members of a foreign government behind bars!
We ask that you take a moment to read about this situation, pass this information along to your contacts and add this issue to your campaigning. Palestine Think Tank has reprinted the appeal from the Free PLC campaign as well as an article from 2006 by MIFTAH immediately following this crime. Sign the campaign appeal and pass it along to legislators you may know so that they too can be aware that their colleagues are suffering in Israeli prisons.
