The Road to the Muslim Holocaust
Ghali Hassan, Globalresearch.ca
Tolerance is a falsehood often pronounced with difficulty in all of Western
societies. Small countries such as Denmark, Belgium, the Netherlands,
Austria, and Norway are leading the pack in the war on Muslims at home, and
may be on the road to encouraging a new Holocaust against humanity. While
these countries are part of the US-led coalition, which is responsible for
the mass murder of Iraqis, they have also introduced discriminate and
draconian im! migration laws which are specifically directed against
Muslims fleeing war and economic hardship. The pretexts are always the
phantom of the "War on Terror". Historically, Muslims have been at the
receiving end of Western-Christian violence for centuries. Following the
9/11 attack on the USA, Western Europe joined the US in its anti-Muslim
crusade: : "We are all Americans now" united against Muslims. Although,
9/11 stills a mystery, it is used to legitimise a new form of
Western-Christian fascism...

There's Something Rotten Far Beyond the State of Denmark
NATO's Caricature of “Freedom of Speech” and its Allies in the Peace Movement
Gary Zatzman, www.dissidentvoice.org
At the ideological level, the racism of those by-now-notorious Danish
cartoons is clear enough. The denunciation of this racism is growing and
this is positive. However, in terms of the forces actually organizing and
mobilizing something quite dark by means of this allegedly light-hearted
caricature of a "war" among caricaturists, ! it is seriously incumbent on
all of us also to penetrate its political significance. What is being
organized via Danish media, in some semi-respectable garb, is nothing less
than a pole of public opinion that is not just religiously bigoted in its
racism. This is a pole of public opinion that surpasses the Hitlerian
dimension in its effort to justify the extermination of literally billions
of other fellow human beings on this planet...

Reporters without Borders Keeps silence about journalist tortured in Guantánamo
Salim Lamrani*
The silence kept by the «freedom-of-the-press» Reporters without border
(RSF) organization about Sudanese journalist Sami al Hajj raises many
questions on the impartiality of that association headed by Robert Menard.
RSF, which is always willing to stigmatize- usually arbitrarily- those
countries targeted by Washington such as Cuba, Venezuela and China, has
fully ignored the torture suffered by Al Hajj, a journalist wit! h Qatar’s
Al Jazeera TV chain...

Democrats.com Offers $1,000 Reward to Any Reporter Who Will Ask Follow-Up
Question to Bush
Democrats.com & afterdowningstreet.org
At a White House press conference on June 7, 2005, Steve Holland of Reuters
asked President Bush and Prime Minister Blair the $1,000 question: "On
Iraq, the so-called Downing Street Memo from July, 2002, says 'Intelligence
and facts were being fixed around the policy of removing Saddam through
military actions.' Is this an accurate reflection of what happened? Could
both of you res! pond?" The responses that first Blair and then Bush gave
were widely reported by the White House press corps. But a new "White House
Memo," reported in the British media on Feb. 2, 2006 (2), has now exposed
both responses as lies...

Bush Gets Deserved Dressing Down at King Funeral
Kurt Nimmo, Another day in the empire
It says something about our "democracy" when Bush can only face criticism
in public as a side effect of his attendance at a funeral. Earlier today,
the civil-rights leader Rev. Joseph Lowery managed to take Bush to task for
his war crimes and pathological lies (or the lies programmed in his alcohol
and coke damaged head by the Straussian neocons) during the funeral of
Coretta Scott King. "We know now there were no weapons of ma! ss
destruction over there," Lowery said, reading a poem. "But Coretta knew and
we knew that there are weapons of misdirection right down here." In
response, Lowrey received a two minute standing ovation...

UN Observer
Veterans from many wars and many parts of NY State, their familiies and
allies will march in Albany on February 7th from the Legislative Office
Building to the nearby Vietnam Memorial where they will speak in support of
a bill which will benefit N Y National Guard soldiers returning today from
Iraq and Afghanistan. The NY STATE DU TESTING AND HAZARDOUS CHEMICALS TASK
FORCE BILL will take responsibility for addressing the mysterious symptoms
suffer! ed by our NY National Guard soldiers returning from war. These are
often diagnosed as "undisclosed illnesses."..

Danish cartoons are latest in a campaign of racist abuse
Why Muslims are right to be angry
Socialist Worker
...The cartoons must be seen as part of the effort to justify
anti-Islamism--not only in Denmark, but throughout the West. Far from
examples of the value of "freedom of expression," they should be filed
alongside the anti-Semitic caricatures of Nazi-era Europe and the hateful
stereotypes of African Americans in the segregation-era U.S. South. They
are reminders of the urgency of the fight against! anti-Arab and
anti-Muslim racism today...

The Show Must Go On
Mike (in Tokyo) Rogers and Elizabeth C. Gyllensvard
...Yes indeed, there is no business like show business. George W. Bush’s
illegal war in Iraq is evidence of that. For Bush and his neoconservative
handlers, the truth remains: no matter how many fabrications and special
prosecutors, regardless of the venue, whether it is Iraq, Afghanistan,
South America, or Iran, the show must and will go on. The American
spectator can tune in as US military might murders and decapitates.
Televised war is pai! d for, sponsored by, and brought to you by the Bush
administration for the entertainment and edification of anyone with a
television. Any rebroadcast of this show without expressed, written
permission is strictly forbidden. And, what a show it is too. The current
debacle in Iraq, for example, is in many ways far worse than Vietnam...

Former Reagan Treasury Secretary Questions Twin Towers Collapse
Paul Joseph Watson/Prison Planet.com
A former Wall Street Journal editor and a man credited with the success of
'Reaganomics' has finally broken ranks and brought into question the
unexplained collapse of the twin towers and WTC building 7. Former
Assistant of the Treasury in the Reagan administration Paul Craig Roberts
questions why it is largely accepted that the Bush administration lied
about Iraqi weapons of mass destruction and yet many still be! lieve they
told the truth about 9/11. Roberts' columns have been a consistent source
of expert analysis and no holds barred commentary but he is yet to go this
far in addressing the real culprits behind 9/11...

The Iran Crisis -- "Diplomacy" as a Launch Pad for Missiles
Norman Solomon
The current flurry of Western diplomacy will probably turn out to be
groundwork for launching missiles at Iran. Air attacks on targets in Iran
are very likely. Yet many antiwar Americans seem eager to believe that
won't happen. Illusion 1: With the U.S. military bogged down in Iraq, the
Pentagon is in no position to take on Iran. But what's on the horizon is
not an invasion -- it's a major air assault, which the American military
can easil! y inflict on Iranian sites. (And if the task falls to the
Israeli military, it is also well-equipped to bomb Iran.) ...

"Just As 'Legal' As Hitler was in 1933"
WhatReallyHappened.com
...The Bush "legal mouthpiece" has produced "Legalized Torture and
Repression" - Just like Germany had in 1933. Alberto Gonzales is a lot like
Franz Gurtner, another conservative nationalist lawyer and judge - who was
appointed by Hitler to head the Reich Ministry of Justice, and who got
along - very well - with the Nazis despite not being a Nazi himself. How
did the German Legal system change as a result of Nazi 'leadership'?
Fear-mongering was the m! ain tool used to change the law, and to undermine
civil liberties. So, where the constitution was changed, the code of
criminal procedure was also changed, extraordinary powers were vested in
the Executive, including extensive police powers; and the powers of an
independent judiciary were destroyed...

This was all done based on a "terrorist menace." And exactly what the
menace was, shifted from time to time during the Nazi period. It was a
matter of opportunism, or convenience.
