Welcome to Bantustan, Louisiana, where the first stage of creating a large,
armed, New World Order fortress, complete with gated communities and an
Israeli wall against the sea and the riffraff, has begun. It is the
inevitable course of human history, playing like a bad rerun of humanity’s
medieval nightmares (...) If there is a legitimate vision of hell in this
life, New Orleans after Hurricane Katri! na is it (although this act has
also been seen recently in Fallujah, Kigali, Port-au-Prince and many other
locations as well) (...) I thought it was very cool that so many of those
like DU activist Dennis Kyne and others who went to Texas to support
antiwar mom Cindy Sheehan smoothly moved their operation to New Orleans to
help out. This small remaining segment of morally decent Americans knows —
much more authentically that the government could ever pretend to know —
that when people are dying you don’t argue about causes or rules. Perhaps
that is the true test of being human...

and racists who think Bush is not tough enough on the enemies of the
fascist state they feverishly envision. "They should change the name from
New Orleans to New Mogadishu," opines one racist crackpot. "Time to take
out the trash," blathers another after a rumor about "Delta Force
operators" (i.e., professional killers and sadists) "dropped into New
Orleans"! circulated on the site. "Family member just received a phone call
from a brother on the team," another comments, adding credence to the
assertion. "Hope we get some pix of this," he posts later. "Hey... maybe if
the Delta force wipes out this scum.. there will be less people living off
the taxpayers dollars"...

Doctors for Iraq is deeply concerned at the fate of hundreds of civilians
trying to flee the sieged town of Tallafa, 80 km from Mousel City.
Thousands of residents from the town have been told to leave the area by
US/ Iraqi forces who have been attacking the area for the past three- four
days. Eyewitnesses report that heavy bombs were dropped on targets in the
town a few days ago and on Monday 5th September the US army has ! been
firing missiles onto the town from aircraft. The entire town in under siege
and is in preparation for a new military attack...

Douglas Feith, the recently resigned undersecretary of defense, who just
happened to be one of the main people who for years on end advocated for a
war in Iraq, and who in large part developed the disastrous policies for
the war in Iraq, planned ahead for his retirement and will not be seen in
the unemployment line (...)In announcing his departure, Feith claimed he
was leaving for personal reasons, citing the desire to spend more time with
his children (! ...) He used the standard administration exit line. Sort of
like the noticeably absent in light of Katrina, ex-FEMA director, Joe
Albaugh, who left his job to spend time with his family (...) Like Feith,
when he announced his resignation, Joe said, "Now I am going to take the
opportunity to spend some time with my wife and children." I sure hope Doug
spends more time with his kids than Joe did, because judging from
hindsight, Joe should have been a psychic. He somehow knew at the beginning
of March 2003, that he should quit FEMA and go into the business of
securing reconstruction contracts in Iraq for wealthy clients before the
first bomb was droppe...

Seven civilians killed in US raid

The northern Iraqi town of Tal Afar was on edge yesterday after at least
seven civilians were killed during an operation by Iraqi and US troops
against insurgents there. Thirteen others were wounded in the violence, a
hospital source said. According to the US military, one of its soldiers
died when his vehicle was struck by a bomb there on Monday (...)"Around 100
families have been evacuated in the last few days," an Iraqi army captain
said, adding that some had l! eft before the evacuation order to escape the
fighting. Television footage showed Iraqi soldiers bursting into houses
searching for weapons, pictures of former president Saddam Hussein and
video cassettes before leading suspects away...

Draft Iraqi anti-terror law could keep hangman busy

Iraqi MPs on Tuesday debated sweeping anti-terror legislation that would
make even crimes such as vandalism subject to the death penalty in a bid to
quell the raging insurgency. The wide-ranging anti-terror bill proposes the
death penalty not only for those guilty of "terrorist" acts, but for
accomplices and those advocating "sectarian strife." The bill, which was
being discussed behind closed doors and could be amended, lists eight
offenses that co! uld qualify as terrorist acts, including "violence,
vandalism against public buildings, forming armed gangs and using
explosives to kill people" (...)"The culprit or accomplice in the act would
be executed" along with "the instigator, the plotter, and whoever assists

declared it a success for evacuees who 'were underprivileged anyway,'
saying on Monday that many of the poor people she had seen while touring a
Houston relocation s! ite were faring better than before the storm hit,"
reports the New York Times. In other words, poor people should not complain
when their families are killed, their homes are destroyed, and their lives
reduced to a living hell because, in a Darwinian sense, they are
"underprivileged anyway" and really have nothing to complain about...

Four Americans killed in southern Iraq

Four American security guards were killed Wednesday in a bomb attack
targeting a US diplomatic convoy in the southern Iraqi town of Basra, the
US embassy said. Nine Iraqis, including four soldiers and a police colonel,
were also killed and 19 others wounded in separate rebel attacks, most of
them in the capital Baghdad, security sources said. The four slain

maintained that the Iraqi army is operating successfully throughout the
region, it is more likely the case that the Badr Corps is providing what
security there is. The Badr Corps is the paramilitary of the Supreme
Council of Islamic Revolution in Iraq, the party that rules Najaf Province

administration exit strategy for Iraq, which is that the south will be
