quotidiano Workers World riferivo dell'addestramento pubblico dell'intera
popolazione adulta irachena, sia uomini che donne, in tattiche di
guerriglia urbana. Non era assolutamente un segreto. Erano distribuite
pubblicamente all'intera popolazione armi, munizioni e mesi di forniture
alimentari. Le immagini dell'eroica resistenza palestinese ricordavano agli
irache! ni che per un intero popolo è possibile resistere ad una forza
schiacciante per più di 50 anni...

Quattro domande sull'Iraq oggi

...Dai due lati ci sono laici e sostenitori di un Stato islamico ma i
"buoni musulmani" per gli americani sono quelli che collaborano con loro, i
"cattivi", "fondamentalisti anti-democratici" fanno parte della resistenza.
Come ci sono i "buoni" ex-baatisti "democratici" ed i "cattivi" baatisti. I
"buoni", come l'attuale Primo ministro Allawi, colpevole di terrorismo,
sono quelli che hanno lasciato il partito Baath negli anni 70 e! 80, perché
ritenevano il regime troppo anti-occidentale, non abbastanza per il mercato
libero ed intransigente sulla questione israeliana. I "cattivi" sono quelli
che compongono la resistenza sulla base di un programma nazionalista che
vuole garantire che le ricchezze dell'Iraq restano agli iracheni...

marines Usa a Falluja, è stata data scarsa attenzione a resoconti secondo i
quali le forze armate Usa hanno ucciso un sacco di pazienti in un attacco
contro un centro sanitario di Falluja e hanno privato civili di assistenza
medica, cibo, e acqua. Benché le forze armate Usa abbiano liquidato
descrizioni del bombardamento di centri sanitari come prive di conferma, in

Gli avvocati canadesi della LAW protestano per la visita di Bush

Insurgents in Fallujah attack daily, use tunnels to infiltrate former

against U.S. Marines and Iraqi troops in hopes of disrupting nationwide
elections set for Jan. 30, Marine officers said Tuesday. ``Insurgents will

Neglect Follows Siege of Fallujah

The Iraqi ministry of health is failing to provide enough support to
hundreds of thousands who fled Fallujah. Doctors in Baghdad are perplexed
why there has been little or no assistance from the health ministry to
residents or refugees. "During the Najaf fighting this summer things were
not like this," says Dr. Riad Hussein, a resident surgeon in Baghdad.
"There were mobile operating theatres and plenty of help for them. But for
Fallujah they have done next to nothi! ng. Why?"...

US Media Ignore Civilian Tragedy of Fallujah

A review of international media coverage reveals that, in general, the US
press, as in this instance, focuses on battle tactics and keeps score of US
casualties, while elsewhere in the world the press is emphasizing the human
costs of the war (...) From such lopsided media coverage of the Fallujah
story, an observer can only conclude that the so-called "free press" no
longer exists in the US. Either that, or the US press is choosing to mirror
the worst i! n US society: indifference, cruelty, greed and selfishness.

Embassy sounds alarm over growing dangers in Iraq

Disintegrating security in Baghdad was underlined in a sombre warning
yesterday from the British embassy against using the airport road or taking
a plane out of Iraq. The embassy says a bomb was discovered on a flight
inside Iraq on 22 November. It shows that insurgents have been able to
penetrate the stringent security at Baghdad airport. The embassy says its
own staff have been advised against taking commercial planes.

Iraqi Red Crescent can't treat wounded in Fallujah

The Iraqi Red Crescent has set up a relief center in the shattered city of
Fallujah, but continued clashes between U.S. occupation forces and Iraqi
fighters prevent doctors and nurses from treating the wounded, the
international Red Cross said on Monday. The Red Crescent found that
Fallujah is still under siege, three weeks after U.S. troops launched their

US army blocks aid convoy for Falluja
