Statunitense...

AP
A leading lawmaker from Turkey's governing Justice and Development Party
(AKP) is accusing the United States of committing "genocide" in the Iraqi

The patriotic Iraqi website albasrah.net reported Thursday that the puppet

In pockets of Fallujah, US troops still face harsh battles
By Scott Peterson | Staff writer of The Christian Science Monitor
The four insurgents were heavily outnumbered and outgunned by US marines in
Fallujah. But armed with just assault rifles and grenades, the quartet
locked an entire company in intense battle for hours, inflicting casualties
in hand-to-hand combat and delivering a tough lesson for US forces as they
deepen their hunt for an ephemeral and patient enemy that embraces
martyrdom. The climax of the! firefight late Monday night could not have
been more chaotic or more illuminating of the horrors of urban conflict...

Fresh fodder for Bush's wars: Guardsmen say they're facing Iraq ill-trained
Scott Gold, Los Angeles Times
Members of a California Army National Guard battalion preparing for
deployment to Iraq said this week that they were under strict lockdown and
being treated like prisoners rather than soldiers by Army commanders at the
remote desert camp where they are training. More troubling, a number of the
soldiers said, is that the training they have received is so poor and
equipment shortages so prevalent that they fear! their casualty rate will
be needlessly high when they arrive in Iraq early next year. "We are going
to pay for this in blood," one soldier said...

New York Times calls for more troops and more Fallujahs
Kate Randall, WSWS
Over the weekend, the New York Times placed its enthusiastic imprimatur on
the US military destruction of Fallujah, arguing only that more American
troops were needed to prevent the resurgence of Iraqi resistance in the
gutted city and to carry out similar operations in other anti-US
strongholds...

Iraqi Resistance Report for events of Wednesday, 24 November 2004
Translated and/or compiled by Muhammad Abu Nasr, member editorial board The
Free Arab Voice.
...A correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported on Wednesday that for the
third straight day US forces have refused to let the people of
as-Saqlawiyah enter the nearby city of al-Fallujah to collect the bodies of
people killed and lying in the streets there for burial in the cemetery
located between the two towns. Last week US forces had supervised repeat!
ed trips by as-Saqlawiyah residents into al-Fallujah for just this

When America kills children, is God on its side?
David B. Livingstone , RABID NATION
... In Falluja, in Mosul, in Baghdad the rotten fruits of the American
freedom tree are falling to the ground in the form of 500-pound bombs,
white phosphorus, air-to-surface missiles, and an unending hail of bullets.
Freedom - the freedom to die - is on the march, with George W. Bush leading
the parade. Behind follow his glassy-eyed syncophants, a Bible in one hand
and a flag in the other, the world's ugliest citizens on a merr! y march to
hell...

Kerry and the Gift of Impunity
Naomi Klein
Iconic images inspire love and hate, and so it is with the photograph of
James Blake Miller, the 20-year-old Marine from Appalachia who has been
christened "the face of Falluja" by prowar pundits and "The Marlboro Man"
by pretty much everyone else (...) A reader of the New York Post suggested
more politically correct propaganda imagery (...) Yes, that's right:
Letter-writers from across the nation are united in their outrage--not that
the steely-eyed smoking soldier mak! es mass killing look cool but that the
laudable act of mass killing makes the grave crime of smoking look cool...

US Marines accused of slaying children
Iraqwar
Disturbing reports of alleged widespread abuse by American forces in
Fallujah, including the killing of unarmed civilians and the deliberate
targeting of a hospital in an attack, have emerged from people who have
escaped from the city at the end of the major fighting. They charged, in
interviews, that as well as deaths from bombs and artillery shells, a large
number of people, including children, were killed by US snipers...

Embedded with the Marines in Iraq
Dead-Check in Falluja
Evan Wright
...One thing military officials are not saying is that the behavior of the
Marine in the video closely conforms to training that is fairly standard in
some units. Marines call executing wounded combatants "dead-checking."
"They teach us to do dead-checking when we're clearing rooms," an enlisted
Marine recently returned from Iraq told me. "You put two bullets into the
guy's chest and one in the brain. But when you enter a room where gu! ys
are wounded you might not know if they're alive or dead. So they teach us
to dead-check them by pressing them in the eye with your boot, because
generally a person, even if he's faking being dead, will flinch if you poke
him there. If he moves, you put a bullet in the brain. You do this to keep
the momentum going when you're flowing through a building. You don't want a
guy popping up behind you and shooting you." What I'd seen on that road
outside of Baquba on April 9 was a dead-check...

20,802 US Soldiers Heavily Wounded
Raed in the Middle
believe it or not...
Can anyone believe how dirty and dishonorable the US administration is? The
official number of US soldiers wounded in Iraq that was announced by the US
DOD (department of defense) is 8458 in Iraq and 423 in Afghanistan. Can
anyone believe that the US military hospital at Germany (alone), the
Landstuhl Regional Medical Center, announced that 20,802 troops have been
treated at Landstuhl from injuries received in "Operations Iraqi Freedom"
(occupying Iraq) and "Enduring Freedom" (occupying Afghanistan)....

The Four Reasons
why "We the People" must uphold
the Constitution of The United States of America
and hold those who violate it accountable
The Four Reasons.org
The invasion of Iraq is illegal within the framework of the laws of the
United States Constitution and the United Nations Charter.
1. The invasion of Iraq has been planned for many years by the Project for
the New American Century (PNAC), an organization founded by a small group
of right wing political ideologues and corporate elite dedicated to
promoting American global leadership. The PNAC signatories hold the most
powerful positions in the current administration and other highly
influential political offices. Read their Statement of Principles and note
the signatories. Read the PNAC's "Rebuilding America's Defenses" for a
detail of their military strategy for American global hegemony...

Mr. Allawi's so called "defence minister" calls Al Jazeerah a channel of

Robert Lim, News Alternative
Middle East Online has reported that Mr. Shaalan has called Al Jazeerah a
"channel of terrorism". Unelected and appointed by the occupying US forces,
Allawi's Shaalan made the astonishing outburst to the London-based Arabic
newspaper Asharq Al-Awsat. Shaalan's tirade comes on the heels of the
horrifying onslaught that the US occupying forces unleashed against the
city of Fallujah and amid a mass offensi! ve which has started to the south

JASON LEOPOLD, CounterPunch
A Harvard University Law School alumni and professor of international law
and human rights has started a campaign to boycott the prestigious
university he once attended as a result of Harvard's hiring of Assistant
Attorney General Jack Goldsmith to join its law school faculty. Goldsmith
was identified earlier this year as one of several legal experts who

military could skirt the rules of the Geneva Convention when interrogating

Operation Barbarossa and Operation Phantom Fury: Different Only by a Matter
of Degree
Kurt Nimmo
Reading about the destruction of Fallujah, now that details are trickling
in (mostly in the European press), I am reminded of Hermann Goering who
said, during Operation Barbarossa (Germany's doomed invasion of Russia),
that the Germans had no problem killing civilians and POWs because Germany
had not signed the Geneva Convention. In Fallujah, the United States is
also killing civilians and POWs (as video attests), but! Bush and the
Pentagon are not offering excuses like Goering did. Instead, the Geneva
Convention is totally irrelevant, not even worth mention (we have come a
long way since the Nazis)...

The Occupation of Iraq is the Root of the Problem
RON JACOBS, CounterPunch
...That is why the Iraqi resistance is right. They are defending their
cities and towns against an invader whose primary reason for being in
country is to make it safe for exploitation by foreign capital. They are
also fighting an aggressor whose propaganda tells the individual soldier
that the Iraqi is subhuman and consequently has less right to live than the
soldier. Why else do you think the Iraqis are being tortured in the POW
camps an! d killed even though they are wounded and unarmed? The resistance
is right because it refuses to sit by while their country is destroyed
meter by meter in the name of something called American democracy...
