Intrecci: sguardi sul mondo n. 4 - Un'altra TV?


Un'altra televisione è possibile? E' la domanda che ci facciamo da più di
tre anni e che, dopo il Forum Sociale di Firenze, si è rapidamente diffusa
tra tutti coloro che vorrebbero nuove forme di comunicazione televisiva, più
reale e indipendente.
In Brasile la "TV de rua" di Belèm ne è un esempio. Ma anche in Italia,
negli ultimi mesi, si è diffuso a macchia d'olio il movimento delle TV di
strada - Telestreet - che propongono un nuovo modello di informazione
televisiva.
E' sulla base di queste idee, e con la forte accelerazione impressa dallo
scoppio della guerra in Irak, che sono nate nuove TV satellitari: Global TV,
NoWar TV, la TV della pace di Milano.
E' un percorso ancora lungo, a cui Intrecci aderisce pienamente: un nuovo
modo di fare la televisione che cambierà profondamente il panorama della
comunicazione in Italia.

Intrecci   
il magazine televisivo mensile sui problemi dello sviluppo, distribuito dal
gennaio 2000 dalla ADN Kronos ad un circuito di 100 televisioni locali, è al
suo quarto anno di vita.

Nelle 35 puntate fin qui realizzate, disponibili tutte in videocassetta,
abbiamo affrontato nel corso del 2000 temi quali: rifugiati,
globalizzazione, debito, diritti umani, flussi migratori, bambini, emergenze
umanitarie, ambiente e sviluppo, donne rurali, l'altra Africa, Pechino +5.

Nel 2001 i temi sono stati: "In cammino", "Solidarietà a distanza", "Acqua",
"Un altro mondo è possibile?", "Cioccolato e caffè", "Popoli indigeni",
"Donne e azioni positive", "A Genova!", "Contro il razzismo", "Tra pace e
guerra", "Schiavitù vecchie e nuove".

Nel 2002: "Informazione e sviluppo", "Lontano da casa", "Voci da Porto
Alegre", "AIDS in Africa", "Dalla strada alla scuola", "Amazzonia!", "Donne
e ambiente", "Sovranità alimentare", "Contadini senza terra", "Italia e
America" e "Firenze, Europa, MondoŠ".

Nelle prime due puntate del 2003 "Š ancora Firenze", "Guerra e pace in Medio
Oriente" e "Voci e volti di guerre dimenticate".

Intrecci

è il primo tentativo organico in Italia di dare voce e volti alla realtà del
sud del mondo, nei suoi contatti con la nostra; per allargare gli "sguardi"
su un mondo sempre più interdipendente, e offrire temi di discussione sui
grandi problemi, ancora irrisolti alle soglie del nuovo millennio.

Intrecci: sguardi sul mondo no. 4 - Another TV is possible?


Another TV is possible? This is a question we have been putting to ourselves
for more than three years now and which after the European Social Forum of
Firenze was rapidly extended to all those who support new forms of TV
communication, more real and independent.
The Brazilian "TV de rua" of Belem is an example of it. But also in Italy
the street Televisions' movement - Telestreet - has widely spread in the
last few months, proposing a new model of TV information.
Thanks to these projects, accelerated by the outbreak of Iraqi war, new
satellite televisions have been created, such as Global TV, NoWarTV, the
Peace TV of Milano.
A lot has still to be done, but we think that these new forms of TV - and
Intrecci is part of them - will deeply change the panorama of communication
in Italy.

Intrecci (Knots: glimpses on the world)
is the title of a monthly TV magazine on development issues, distributed by
ADN Kronos to some 100 local TV networks.
In 2000 cycle we have faced themes such as refugees, globalization, debt,
human rights, migration flows, children, humanitarian emergencies,
environment and development, rural women, "a different side" of Africa,
Pekin+5 (women's condition 5 years after U.N. World Conference), all
available in videocassettes.
In 2001 themes such as "Migrants", "Distance solidarity", "Water", "Is
another world possible?", "Chocolate and coffee", "Indigenous people",
"Women and positive actions", "In Genoa!", "Against racism", "Between peace
and war", "Old and new slavery".
In 2002 "Information and development", "Far from home", "Voices from Porto
Alegre", "AIDS in Africa", "From the street to school", "Amazonia!", "Women
and environment", "Food Sovereignty, "Landless peasants", "Italy and
America", "Firenze, Europe, World
In the first two episodes of 2003: "Firenze again...", "War and peace in
Middle East" and "Voices and faces of forgotten wars".

Intrecci
is the first attempt in Italy to show the everyday life of the South of the
world and to find points of contact with our reality, also through the work
of the volunteers and the international solidarity.
The spectators have the possibility to make suggestions and proposals and
this will help to broaden our glances out onto a world which is more and
more interdependent. They will also be offered the opportunity to discuss
problems still unsolved.
