Ukrainian Parliament Speaker Volodymyr Hroisman meets with George Soros


Ukrainian Parliament Speaker Volodymyr Hroisman met with American 
business magnate, investor, and philanthropist George Soros in Kyiv on 
January 12 to discuss the need of reforms in Ukraine with the 
involvement of experts and civil society activists.The sides also agreed 
on the importance of the National Council of Reforms as a platform for 
the discussion of the most important bills in Ukraine, the Ukrainian 
parliament's press service reported.


Hroisman informed Soros that he had initiated the development of a 
recovery plan for Ukraine for 2015-2017, which has already been sent to 
the National Council of Reforms and is now being finalized by the 
government.This is the document that together with the 2020 Reform 
Program and the Ukraine-EU Association Agreement should become the basis 
for systemic reforms in Ukraine, Hroisman said.
