Starting from an overview of initiatives from a researcher's point of view, there will be a presentation of some examples of NI/UCP (Nonviolent Peaceforce, experiences from Croatia, Colombia, Israel/Palestine, Italy) as well as attempts of institutionalisation of nonviolent intervention and Civil Peace Services on European (EP, European Network CPS) and national levels (Germany).
