Gb: si' a nuove armi nucleari(ANSA) - LONDRA, 14 MAR - Il parlamento 
inglese ha votato a favore del piano del primo ministro Blair per 
rinnovare l'arsenale nucleare britannico. Il parlamento ha votato 
409-161 a favore del piano, che prevede una spesa tra 15 e 20 miliardi 
di sterline (da 22 a 99 miliardi) per l'acquisto di nuovi sommergibili 
con armi nucleari, con i quali sostituire quelli che andranno fuori 
servizio nel 2024. I deputati hanno respinto una mozione per il rinvio 
dell'esame del progetto.

Nato chief: Europe faces threat of missile attack
Jaap de Hoop Scheffer, Nato’s secretary-general, does not hesitate when 
asked whether his alliance will come under threat of missile attack.
“There is every reason to believe that, given the North Korean missile 
tests and the Iranian capability and what the Iranians are saying,” he 
tells the Financial Times.
Neither does Mr de Hoop Scheffer entertain much doubt over whether a 
missile defence system could diminish Europe’s vulnerability.
