Ugandan radio station fined for gay content

A Ugandan radio station that hosted four gay men during a talk show
has been fined the equivalent of 800 euros. A spokesman for the
Ugandan Broadcasting Council, which imposed the fine, called the
programme on August 26 "very offensive". Homosexual acts are illegal
in Uganda and can carry sentences of up to life imprisonment. Radio
station officials said that the guests were protesting against
discrimination over their sexual orientation. The radio station has
   paid the fine and apologised.
