There is a lot of mythology misconception that surrounds the perception
that people have of Hamas. This trend does not include only those who
have a pro-Israel agenda or bias, or even those who are severely
misinformed due to lack of information or heavy doses of disinformation
disguised as "news and analysis". Since the Palestinians
themselves are asking for their leaders to achieve reconciliation and to
work only for the interests of the Palestinian people, it will be a
fundamental task for all activists to be able to contribute by being able
to debunk the myths whenever impediments are put forth by the
"international community" against Hamas in order to disqualify
them from being protagonists in any kind of unified front against Israel.
