civilian destruction. More than 100,000 Iraqi soldiers were killed in five
weeks, the majority during the 100-hour ground war. You may say, "This is
war and people get killed." That’s true, but tens of thousands of Iraqi
soldiers were killed by illegal weapons in a most brutal manner that
contradicted international laws that apply to war (...) We all know how
Powell as Secretary of State lied to! the world about Iraq in 2002 and

its establishment in the early 20th century the Iraqi state -- regardless

ethnic affiliations but rather in terms of the degree of their loyalty to
or conformity with the state! , and in terms of the degree to which they
might be adversely influenced by neighbouring powers. Terms such as the

reflect only the determination of outside powers to partition Iraq...

Iraqi Resistance forces fired four rockets at the US al-Warrar base near
ar-Ramadi in western Iraq at 6am Thursday morning local time. Witnesses who
live in the at-Ta’mim neighborhood in the vicinity of the base told
Mafkarat al-Islam that they heard the sound of successive explosions coming
from within the US base at dawn. The b! lasts were so powerful that they
shattered glass in residences near the American base. Smoke could be seen
rising over the American-occupied facility. US warplanes prowled the sky
above ar-Ramadi for half an hour after the attack...

This rather minor offense has been blown up into a national crisis by the

start of the misnamed “ricin affair” in January 2003, t! he public was told
that an al Qaeda cell had been arrested before it could launch a terrorist
attack using the chemical weapon “ricin”. The public was told that the
police had discovered traces of ricin in the flat used by the cell. It has
now been established that there was no “ricin” and no “cell”...

Let's start with a simple fact. The United States invaded and conquered
Iraq on the basis of lies. Even the official report of the United States
Senate admits as much. So, where did all this bad information come from?
While the culprits would like to pin the blame on the Central Intelligence
Agency, the facts point in a different direction. To cite just one example,
the now-discredited claim that Saddam was trying to buy "Yellow Cake"
Uranium from Niger came! from the Pentagon, specifically from Paul
Wolfowitz, using information the CIA stated was unreliable. Wolfowitz, and
his assistant Douglas Feith, set up a special office called the "Office of
Special Plans" in 2001, that fed information to the White House to urge the
attack on Iraq...

Citing 50 bodies, Iraq president keeps story alive

discovered in the Tigris River and suggested that they were victims of a
massive kidnapping south of Baghdad that Iraqi officials insisted was a
hoax just three days ago. President-elect Jalal Talabani, who made the
surprise assertion after a meeting with Shiite leaders over allotting top
jobs in the new government, offered no deta! ils about the crime, including
when or precisely where the bodies had been found. In his comments to
reporters Talabani offered no documentation that could help independently
verify his statement, like a list of victims, photographs of the bodies or

Allawi escapes assassination attempt

Iraq's outgoing prime minister, Iyad Allawi, has escaped a car bomb
assassination attempt which targeted his convoy in Baghdad. At least two
policemen were killed in the attack that occurred late on Wednesday night

Six American bodyguards killed as helicopter in Iraq shot down by missiles

Insurgents brought down a Russian-made helicopter carrying 11 civilians
with missile fire north of the capital Thursday and said they captured and
shot to death the lone crew member who survived. The dead from the crash
included six American bodyguards for U.S. diplomats. The chartered flight
