NEWS FROM XIV INTERNATIONAL AIDS CONFERENCE - Part 2
14. CONFERENCE WEB SITE UP AND RUNNING
On Monday, 25 June, the official Conference website for AIDS 2002 Barcelona was born. It can be located at either www.aids2002.com or www.aids2002.org The website's design was inspired by Gaudi's Parc GÃ ell, as a tribute to the 150th anniversary of the birth of Gaudi in 2002. It is our vision that the website will be a window into Conference planning as it unfolds " featuring all the new faces as they appear at the ever-abuzz Conference secretariat and their contributions to various program aspects. Some of the features of the Conference website include Conference information, program highlights, invitation to exhibit, satellite meeting details, important dates, sponsorship acknowledgement, press cuttings, a registration form enabling users to receive e-mail updates from the website as well as links to various Barcelona sites of interest. aids2002.com will undoubtedly prove to be as successful as its predecessor for the Durban conference, which accumulated w!
ell over 4
million hits during July last year. Any suggestions and feedback regarding the website can be sent to Mia Biagio, (email@example.com)

We have received correspondence from various institutions to book accommodation in Barcelona for the dates of the conference. Please note delegates may pre-book accommodation but will not be confirmed until after they have registered. Please note that there is plenty of accommodation in all price categories in Barcelona. However, since the conference takes place during peak holiday season and since there are a number of other events taking place in the city at the same time, we advise you book your accommodation sooner rather than later. This applies particularly to hostel accommodation, since this is very popular with tourists. Accommodation may be booked online (from October 2001) or by completing the accommodation form in the Invitation Program.
Alternatively, pre-booking may be done through Viajes Iberia:
